The Best Concert Ever !! Coldplay in Jakarta (My Dream Concert Come True!!)

As I grew up most of my teenage life was listening to some songs as usual teenager, like Taylor Swift, Bruno Mars, Paramore, Linkin Park and COLDPLAY.

COLDPLAY is different since their songs are mostly heartfelt, sad but give a power to stay strong and go on the life, but also fun and energetic as Chris Martin himself said that most of their songs are sincere from his feelings.

As a teenage who grow up with their songs, it became my dream that one day I want to sing those songs along with the band in the concert. Also, Coldplay concert is one of the most beautiful concert in the world anyone would wants it with the lights, euphoria, hype and the fireworks.

On April 2023 there's a rumors that Coldplay would have a stop in Jakarta for it's world tour. On May 2023, finally it's official that Coldplay will have one concert in Jakarta. Announced by Third Eye Management & PK Entertainment as a collaboration promotors, they announced that Coldplay will have a concert in 15 November 2023.

My heart instantly bouncing! My dream concert would be held here in my country! Cz I don't expect it, I just imagining that maybe I shall come to Singapore to watch their concert. But this was real! They would make a stop in my country. In that time instantly I decided that I would pay at all cost to go to the concert! I told my husband (long-short story: I'm married on 2019 and have one beautiful daughter, last time on my last kpop concert I thought that I won't be able to watch any of them anymore after I have child but I'm really greatful for my family support, my mom and my dad they are the kindest to let me have this night and entrust my child).

Back to the story of how I got the ticket. This is the important part since if you know this is the very ever first concert of Coldplay in our country and the enthusiast was really crazy. The Ticket War was held on May 2023 (I forgot the date). 

Before the war day, I prepare myself and some of my friends also prepare for the ticket war. As you may know I was got a scam on the last Kpop concert I attended which resulting I had to pay 3 times higher price from the original price (the fu*k). Therefore as for this time I don't trust anyone, although I was still investing some money to my colleague in office which he said he know some insider of the promotors. But still I don't believe him so much then I decided to join the war to get the ticket myself.

Before the War Day, I was studying, I watch all videos of tips and trick of concert ticket war :D (you know how stubborn I am when I deciding something haha). All of tips and trick I followed from displaying world clock, using the fastest internet access, using two or more devices with two or more window in every device, until the weird one which I shall to be in the 2nd floor idk what's the influence to the internet access haha but I did it.

And it WORKS!! My hands was very cold and shaking all the time of the war but I did got the ticket (even it's in the back row seat, I don't mind I just want to feel the ambiance). The investing ticket one in my colleague was fail but since he's my office colleague he give my money back for sure. My best friend mba Bunga was doing Ticket War with me and she also got the ticket, each of us buy 4 tickets as the maximum of buying was 4 tickets, so we got 8 tickets and that's amazing. Now I believe to got ticket you shall buy it by yourself in the War and that's totally fine!

Day by day I pass mostly thinking about this concert, how great it would be. I can't wait to feel the hype! However, in the near day tickets that I buy for some of my friends was open since they cannot attend the concert for some job reasons, in the end only me and my hubby went to the concert.

This is the end of preparation story. Now the day came, It's November! from day 1st I cannot stop thinking that the day was near. I prepare all of my needs, outfit, things that need to be bring, hotel, transport ahh how I like preparing such a trip like that ;D

On 14th Nov 2023, I depart from my hometown in Batang, say goodbye to my little daughter and she's not even crying, she's happy and not cranky, the one who tears up was me haha thinking how she be doing without me but she's all grown up and my mother was so tender to her, so, I didn't worry much.

I departed using train at 10 PM and arrived in Jatinegara station at 4 AM in 15th Nov, take a short break to stretch our back since we're getting older haha. Then going to Della's boarding house to take a some comfortable break and sleep before the night concert.

At 11 PM we're wake up from our short sleep, our sleepy head and backpain need to go again to get to our hotel near the venue in Senayan. Mba Bunga give us a hotel which she cannot canceled since she cannot attend she give it to us (how kind she is). Going to hotel using Jakarta KRL and Grab Car. I was so exited since I haven't ever transport to everywhere using KRL but since my husband was working in Jakarta in past time, he able to understand about the KRL. I feel secure since I was with him haha. Thanks hubby :*

Touchdown in hotel at 2 PM, have a short rest, Oh Jakarta is so hot! have some meal, bought near station bring to the hotel and the meal price in Jakarta made me shock haha.

After some rest, get myself clean take a shower and start to make up, prepare the outfit and the belonging. My husband found a new friend name mas Anja(y) who stay in the same hotel as we were, and he'll be our concert buddy.

After Ashr, we depart to the venue using grab motorcycle since it's not possible for us to use either MRT/KRL or Transjakarta since there's no station near our hotel. It was so crowded, the street was full by people whose all of them were in the same heading. Already felt exited but nervous since I was separate with my husband.

Touchdown in the venue, there's a demonstration from a community that reject Coldplay (Since they was supporting LGTV) for me if they not promoting this so I don't mind I just want to enjoy their music. So crowded, the gate already open from 1 PM but I was waiting for my other concert buddy who bought my tickets (since Mba Bunga and her sister not going to the concert). His name is Ridho he's youger than us, but I'm greatful to have either Ridho and mas Anja as our concert buddy since they have iphone which have better quality of photos (haha).

At 5.30 PM finnaly Ridho came and we could enter the venue. Alhamdulillah it's really smooth I was worried since I accidentally share a screenshoot of booking invoice (not the e ticket) but finally all was fine.

After that my hubby ask us to conduct Magrib and Isya Prayer, the venue was so complete the facility were very fine, prayer room, toilet which very clean, many drink and food stalls it was very comfortable.

After we got our tummy happy, approximately at 07.30 AM I got inside the stadium with mas Anja(y) again. I was little shock since the seat we got was in the very edge of the stage (haha) but it's okay since there's no bad seat in Coldplay Concert hahaha. The ambiance was very festive! there's some empty seat on some other side of the stadium. Since this was my very first stadium concert, I got amazed of how much people gather in this place (and a little worried, I keep thinking and figure out the emergency exit of the stadium haha).

As expected, the event was on time, as the schedule 08 PM the opening singer came out (Rahmania Astrini) I don't event know her, but she bring her songs well, enough to give us some warming energy before we got on fire hahaha.

Exactly at 9 PM the very much awaiting band in our life came. They came out from the stage basement very humble Chris say Asalamualaikum (Islamic way to say hello) to the crowd which chant us more. They open and heat the ambiance by singing higher power and adventure of a lifetime.

After that not only greet us in a local way, Chris also gave us some "pantun". "Hari Selasa ujian fiskia, Giat belajar biar lulus. Apakabar kota Jakarta, boleh dong pinjem seratus" *crying in laughter*

Then they continue burn our energy by made us to follow their chants. Singing "eeeeeeeaaaa" "eeeeeeeeoooo" then the music started to play Paradise (which made me sobbing since this song is very emotional for me).

They continue to sing more favorites songs like The Scientist, Viva La Vida, Hymn for The Weekend. you know I cannot stop sing made my throat in pain haha but that's okay. They have some rest and so do I.

I must admit not all of their songs I familiar with, but most of them are. If I know the song I was singing like crazy, dance along and off course the lighting was so beautiful. It was the magical and heartwarming event for us.

In the encore session there's a surprise guest which I very much surprised, since Chris called Maliq & The Essential to the stage to sing my favorite song "Senja Teduh Pelita" everyone also shocking for Maliq presence.

In the very end we watch the beautiful fireworks and Coldplay close the show by singing Biutiful. I remembered Chris Martin said that they will comeback to Indonesia and they promised.

That's all the magical and unforgettable moment of concert. It was amazing for us to experience this night.

FYI I was walking my a*ss from our exit point to Grab pick up point for 5Km since it's very crowded. It was midnight but not feel like a midnight since the crowd. Go back to hotel by Grab motorcycle finally after some trial.

In the next day before we went back to Batang, we have short time fun to play in iceskating area, going there and go to station by KRL. It was so much fun!!

Will there be other concert that I can attend, who knows? I just wish for us to have more and more experience like this (grateful to God).
